Nikki & David's Athletic Profiles


Known as 'The Running Man' I have been competiting at an elite level for over 25 years including Running, Ironman Triathlon, Cycling and most recently as a Ultra Marathoner.

I have raced in National Track, Road and Cross Country events, Olympic and Commonwealth Games selection trials, Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon, Western States 100 Mile Ultra Marathon, World 100km Championship, the'Badwater' 135 Ultra Marathon thru Death Valley, won a Victorian 10km Road Championship & 3 Australian 100km Ultra Marathoner titles.

I completed my first 3 Big M Melbourne Marathons at the ages of 9,10 and 11 yrs and have a PB 2.31 set at the Melbourne Marathon in 2007.

Nikki has raced at highest level both locally and internationally over over the last 6 years with outstanding race wins and remarkably consistent results.

Nikki is the first Australian female to win the presetigious 'Badwater 135' (217km) Ultra Marathon thru Death Valley (regarded as one of the top 10 toughest ultra marathon races in the world taking runners from the lowest point in continent America to the Mt Whitney Portal at 8371ft) finishing 4th outright. Nikkis time of 27 Hr 23 Mins is over 40 yrs age record and the third fastest female time ever.

In late 2015 Nikki finished 2nd at the 240km C2K Ultramarathon in 31.30hrs, arguably Australia's toughest ultra. Starting at sea level in Bega NSW and finishing at the top of Australia's highest peak, Mount Kosciuszko at 2228m. In early 2016 Nikki set an Australian and 'All Comers' Record running 343km in 48Hrs at the Australian 48 Hr Track Championship and finished the year winning the Asian Oceanannia 24 Hr Championship in Taipei with 209km.
